George RR Martin reveals he's planning multiple Game of Thrones animated series

The second season of the highly acclaimed "Game of Thrones" spin-off "House of the Dragon" will be aired this summer. At the end of 2023, George RR Martin, the original author of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, published an article on his personal blog, in which he mentioned several "Game of Thrones" derivative animation series.

At the beginning of the blog post, Mr. Ma mentioned that he recently watched the animated series "Blue Eyed Samurai" and praised this animation that tells a story about the times in Japan. This reminded him of the animated series in the world view of "A Song of Ice and Fire" in cooperation with HBO.

Although these works have not yet been approved, and two of the four envisioned animations have been shelved, the remaining two derivative animations are still being planned. In addition to the "Nine Voyages" animated spin-off series about the nine voyages of the "Sea Serpent" Corliss Velaryon in "House of the Dragon", which has been revealed, there are currently three animated series that will bring more plot expansion to the world of "A Song of Ice and Fire".
