DC launches new comics that will integrate the entire DC universe history

The DC Universe dates back to 1938 with the debut of Superman. Now, 90 years later, writer Mark Waid is teaming up with some of DC's top artists to tell A New History of the DC Universe, a comprehensive timeline covering major events and major happenings in the DC Universe's greatest heroes.

Mark Waid has described A New History of the DC Universe as his "dream project", working with Jerry Ordway and Todd Nauk on the first of a four-issue limited series. Other as-yet-unannounced artists will draw each issue.

Mark Waid said: "This is an opportunity to reintegrate all of DC's complicated timelines into one main timeline, and to work with the greatest artists in the comics industry to make it even better. There are new messages for even long-term fans, and countless Easter eggs. This series will become a must-read for DC fans."

Mark Waid also introduced: "In this case, the story will be told by the classic Flash Barry Allen. His debut not only opened the Silver Age of comics, but also opened the modern DC universe. The Flash will travel through time and travel in four issues of comics. The first issue will cover the period from prehistoric times to the establishment of the Justice League, which is the first superhero team."

Here are the covers from the first issues, which basically show all the DC characters in the order they were depicted in each issue of the comic.
