The Russo brothers' new film "Electric Kingdom" flopped, Netflix spent more than $300 million

"Electric Kingdom", the new film by the Russo brothers, directors of "Avengers 3" and "Avengers 4", flopped, with 25.2 million views in the first week, losing to films such as "Red Notice", "Extraction 2", "Gray Shadows", and "Girls Quest for the Dragon".

It is reported that Netflix invested a huge amount of US$320 million in this film, which is one of the most expensive films ever. On Metacritic, "Electric Kingdom" has a poor media score and audience score, with a media score of only 29 points and an audience score of 3.7 points.

Foreign media criticized the film for diluting the original work. Apart from a few cute robots, "Electric Kingdom" is charmless and strangely boring.

Marvin2211, a user who gave it only 2 points, said: "The story has potential, but the plot development is boring. The world view is not well constructed, so there is no real atmosphere. Millie Bobby Brown's acting is good, but Chris Pratt's role is really terrible."

Some viewers also questioned whether the script was written by AI: "It has no soul. It was either written by AI or a group of executives came up with it in a conference room. The actors tried their best, but there is zero story, and all we have left is a bunch of nice special effects scenes, mixed with selected clips from "ET the Alien", "AI", "Terminator 2" and countless action movies from the 80s and 90s. It's a mess and it's so disappointing. If it was shown in theaters, I would ask for a refund. Because it's on Netflix, they have one more audience, so they will think it's a success. What a shameful bad movie."

Netizen: Look at the illustrations in the book "Electric Fantasy Kingdom". You can tell they have ruined the whole movie just by looking at the poster. I'd better pass this movie.
