The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes confirmed to be released in mainland China, release date to be determined

Sina Films reported today (October 26) that the prequel to the "Hunger Games" series, "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," has been confirmed to be introduced to mainland China, and the release date is yet to be determined. Adapted from the new book of the same name by Suzanne Collins, the original author of the series, the film is set several years before Coriolanus Snow became the tyrant president of Panem.

The film was released in North America on November 17. Francis Lawrence returned to direct, Tom Blythe played the young version of Snow, Rachel Zegler played Lucy, Viola Davis played Dr. Volumnia Gaul, the chief game producer of the Tenth Hunger Games, Josh Andres Rivera played Sejanus Plinth, Snow's close friend and mentor of the tributes from District 2, Hunter Shaffer played Snow's cousin and confidant Tigris Snow, Jason Schwartzman played Lucretius "Lucky" Flickerman, the host of the Tenth Hunger Games, and the ancestor of Caesar (Stanley Tucci) in the original story, and Peter Dinklage played the dean of the academy, Casca Highbottom.
