Japan to re-release 4K remake of Mario 1993 live-action movie

It is reported that in order to commemorate the upcoming 30th anniversary on September 15, Japan will re-release the 1993 live-action Super Mario Bros. movie in theaters in 4K. The movie is called "Super Mario: Goddess of the Devil Empire" in Japan, and the re-release provides audiences with a chance to relive this "classic". Japanese data and information company Oricon has released a newly designed neon-style poster.

This movie starred Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Mario and Luigi. Although it received polarizing reviews, it still occupies an important place in the history of video game movies. Released in 1993, the movie took the Mario brothers to a dinosaur universe. This is an alternate world inhabited by the descendants of dinosaur people. Samantha Mathis played Princess Daisy, and Dennis Hopper played President Bowser.

Although the film initially received negative reviews, its unique and enduring beauty has won it many fans around the world, and it remains something of a hit.
