The Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs recently announced that it will begin work next year to collect, preserve, and regulate the outflow of Japanese anime manuscripts overseas, with the aim of establishing respect and support for anime manuscripts as a cultural asset.

The Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs has established anime manuscripts as important cultural assets. Next year's budget has included the construction of collection and exhibition facilities and the acquisition of some important anime manuscripts, providing solid logistical support for the promotion and development of Japanese anime culture in the future.

According to statistics from the Japan Animation Association, the size of Japan's animation market reached 2.7422 trillion yen worldwide in 2021, more than doubling in the past 10 years. In terms of comic manuscripts, in 2018, an original manuscript of "Astro Boy" by the comic god Osamu Tezuka was sold at a sky-high price of 35 million yen.
