During this week's San Diego Comic-Con, the official Borderlands movie tweet announced that the film will be released on August 9, 2024. The live-action Borderlands movie was officially announced in 2015 and directed by Eli Roth. In the film, Lilith (Cate Blanchett), a notorious fugitive with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet Pandora in search of the missing daughter of the most powerful SOBAtlas (Edgar Ramirez) in the universe. Lilith forms an alliance with an unlikely team: Roland (Kevin Hart): A former elite mercenary now desperate for redemption Little Tina: A wild teenage demolition resident Krieger: Tina's muscular, mute protector Tanis (Jamie Lee Curtis): A scientist with a weak grasp on sanity Little Scrappy (Jack Black): A persistent and clever robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect a missing girl who may hold the key to unimaginable powers. The fate of the universe may be in their hands--but they'll be fighting for something more: each other. |
