The live-action Snow White movie was recently filmed in Bedfordshire, England, and the Daily Mail took photos of the set, revealing the looks of the seven dwarfs. According to a source from the Daily Mail, Disney no longer calls the dwarves in Snow White dwarves, but "magical creatures." It is reported that the dwarfs photographed by the Daily Mail on the set are not the final ones, and the special effects team will also conduct CG post-production to add some non-human features to them. The new dwarfs are more like the stone elves in Frozen or the Hobbits in Tolkien's works, which are non-human species. Disney modified the dwarfs' setting to avoid discrimination controversy. Last year, Peter Dinklage, an actor in Game of Thrones, criticized Snow White for its stereotypical portrayal of dwarves, saying it was a damn step backward. Disney also issued a statement at the time saying, "In order to avoid deepening the stereotypes in the original animated film, we will portray the seven dwarfs in the story in a different way, and for this reason, we have been consulting with dwarfism groups." The live-action movie "Snow White" will be released in North America on March 22, 2024. It is directed by Marc Webb and is adapted from the 1937 classic animation, Disney's first animated feature film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". The queen was jealous of the princess's beauty and used a trick to trick her into eating a poisoned apple. But in the end, Snow White was resurrected and married the prince she fell in love with at first sight. Her stepmother died tragically. Seven Dwarfs: New set photos: |
