Evaluation Summary

If every blockbuster franchise was this entertaining and well-polished, the theatrical and streaming wars would be instantly settled. Ethan Hunt may be fighting to save the world, but Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning - Part 1 plays like Tom Cruise's battle to save the summer blockbuster through mass entertainment. Whatever the future holds for Mission: Impossible, this is McQuarrie's third installment as a director, proving he still has a slick bag of tricks to draw on, breaking away from the gloom and doom of Mission: Impossible 6 to create an explosive, self-reflective action saga that leaves you wanting more.
