The second season of the American TV series "Wednesday" will abandon the love plot and focus on horror elements

In an interview with Variety, Jenna Ortega, the female lead of the American TV series "Wednesday", said that the second season of the show will abandon the love elements in the style of the previous youth drama and will be more horror-oriented.

She said: "It's still in the works, but we've decided we're going to go more horror-oriented. We're dropping any romantic love interests, which is really cool. We're going to be bolder and darker."

Ortega had previously spoken out against the love triangle that existed in the first season, and in an interview with MTV News, he said he had been "against it from the beginning."

"Now that Tyler is gone, I feel like she's not interested in guys for a while. I feel like she's reached a safe zone with Xavier. I think there's an opportunity there for a really sweet platonic relationship," Ortega explained. "Because I don't think it's shown often enough, that men and women can have a safe platonic relationship, not be in a relationship, but really have almost a brother-sister relationship. I think that would be great to watch."
