Netflix announces two-week pause on Stranger Things Season 4

In order to reduce the spread of the new coronavirus, Netflix announced that it would suspend the filming of its original movies and series. All Netflix TV series and film projects in the United States and Canada will be suspended for two weeks, including the fourth season of "Stranger Things".

Warner Bros. Television Group issued a statement regarding the coronavirus:

"Due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, out of an abundance of caution, Warner Bros. Television will temporarily pause production on a portion of its more than 70 series and episodes (currently and upcoming). While no one on our production team has tested positive for the virus, the health and safety of our employees, cast and team is our top priority. During this time, we will continue to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as the advice of local governments and public health experts in each of the cities where we film."

Warner Bros. is not the only company to announce a suspension of filming. NBC, Amazon, FX, and Apple have also announced a suspension of filming.

According to previous reports, the fourth season of "Stranger Things" was filmed in New Mexico, USA.
