The Witcher Geralt's voice actor criticizes Netflix for not respecting the original work

Earlier this year, "Superman" Henry Cavill left Netflix's "The Witcher" series project. Although Cavill did not say it explicitly, many people believed that the reason for his departure was that he was dissatisfied with Netflix's "The Witcher" series' disrespect for the original work.

Doug Cockle

In a recent video, Doug Cockle, the voice actor for Geralt of The Witcher games, spoke about Cavill's departure, saying that he completely understood why Cavill wanted to leave.

"The writers of Netflix's The Witcher series have for some reason chosen to deviate significantly from the books and games, and whether that's a good thing or not depends on what you like. I personally don't understand that choice. I guess that's why Henry is leaving."

Regardless of whether Henry Cavill left The Witcher due to dissatisfaction with the story, fans are still angry at the show for relatively abandoning the books, and things are tougher than ever for The Witcher production team.
