The film portal Discussingfilm reported today (May 18) that Jackie Chan is in talks with the film company to return to play the role of Mr. Han in the sequel to "The Karate Kid" produced by Sony Pictures. According to previous reports, the film will be directed by the well-known director Jonathan Entwistle ("Not What I Want" and "Fuck the World") and is expected to be released on June 7, 2024. It is reported that the previous work "The Karate Kid" was an action movie produced by Columbia Pictures in 2010, directed by Harold Zwart, and starred by Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. The movie is a remake of the 1984 Hollywood movie "The Karate Kid", but the whole story is moved to China.
