New stills from the new film "Killers of the Flower Moon" starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert De Niro and directed by Martin Scorsese have been released. The film will premiere globally at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20 and will be released in North America on October 6. It is reported that the film is about 206 minutes long. The film is adapted from "Killers of the Flower Moon: An American Crime and the Birth of the FBI" by David Grann. The novel tells a true crime story. In the 1920s, a series of murders occurred in the Assange Indian tribe in Oklahoma, USA. These cases were all related to the rich underground oil and gas resources in the area. These cases also involved conspiracy, greed and murder within the Indian tribe. The situation became so bad that the federal government had to intervene. The case prompted the creation of a new law enforcement agency in the U.S. government, known as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the rise of FBI founder J. Edgar Hoover: As the death toll rose, the newly formed FBI set out to investigate the case, uncovering a horrific conspiracy that was one of the most horrific crimes in American history: white people slaughtering Indians for profit. As for the actors, Leonardo Dicaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser and others will all appear in the film. |
