Popular anime "Party Rurouni Kenshin" confirmed to be produced into a live-action series

Fuji TV announced on Monday that it is producing a live-action series based on the manga "Party Rurouni Kujira" by Yotsuba Yubu and Ogawa Ryo, which will premiere on Fuji TV this fall. Actor Mukai Osamu will play the protagonist Zhuge Kongming in the series.

Shuhei Shige (Edogawa Ranpo Short Stories) will be the director of the series, and Nemoto Hiroyuki (City Real Estate, The Fantasy of the Swordsman) will be the screenwriter. The series will be broadcast every Wednesday at 10 pm Japan time.

"Party Rurouni Kubo" was first serialized on Kodansha's "Comic Days" website in December 2019, and officially serialized in Kodansha's "Weekly Young Magazine" in November 2021. The 13th volume of the manga was released on April 6. Previously, the manga was adapted into a TV animation in April 2022, which was very popular because of its magical opening song.
