James Wan to Direct Dead Space Live-Action Movie

According to an exclusive report by foreign media giantfreakinrobot, the well-known director James Wan is expected to direct the film adaptation of EA's sci-fi horror game "Dead Space".

Ten years ago, in 2013, Carpenter wanted to direct the Dead Space movie. In January of this year, when asked by Variety what the latest developments were on the film, the Escape from New York director clarified that he had nothing to do with the film, but that he believed another director was already involved.

James Wan recently directed Furious 7 (2015), Aquaman (2018), Fatal Induction (2021), and Aquaman 2 (2023), which opens in theaters on December 20.

The Dead Space movie will be based on the 2008 survival horror game, set in the 26th century, a remake of which was released in January this year and received "particularly positive reviews" from players.

It is worth mentioning that the trailer for Dead Space at E3 in 2008 was directed by James Wan, the director of Saw.
