Star Wars Story series 'Andor' season 2 to premiere in August next year

According to creator Tony Gilroy, the second season of "Andor," a spin-off of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," is expected to premiere on Disney+ in August 2024.

At the recent Star Wars Celebration Europe fan convention, Gilroy announced that Endor Season 2 will be finished filming in August 2023, with a year of post-production planned. Therefore, he estimates that the show may be ready to air in August 2024.

A small clip of the new episode was shown at the show, but it has not been released to the public. It is reported that it continues the tone of the first season, full of gunfights, explosions and intrigue in space politics. In addition to Andor actor Diego Luna, the clips also show the return of characters such as Genevieve O'Reilly's Mon Mothma and Kyle Soller's Syril Karn.

It has been officially announced that the 12 episodes of the second season of "Andor" will span a four-year time span, connecting the first season of the series to the beginning of the "Rogue One" movie. Gilroy said recently that in the second season, Andor will become a "loyal member" of the rebels and his "inner struggle is over."
