Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Siruis magazine's May issue revealed on Saturday that manga artist Chika Nakatani will launch a new spin-off manga for "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" called "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ~Food Legend~Beco and Rimuru's Cookbook". The first chapter of the manga will begin serialization in the magazine's next issue on April 26.

The spin-off comic will revolve around an injured Goblin Slayer warrior named Beco by Rimuru. He is asked by Rimuru to cook delicious food to fill everyone's stomach, and thus his kitchen challenge as a novice chef begins.

The light novel "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" written by Fushigase was serialized on the "Becoming a Novelist" website from 2013 to 2016. The 18th volume of the library version was released in March 2021. He previously announced that he plans to continue writing spin-off stories after the current series ends, and said that the series will be concluded in the 22nd volume.

The first season of the adapted TV animation was aired in 2018. The latest season 2 was aired in 2021, and the production of the third season was announced in November last year.
