The desk used by Attack on Titan author Hajime Isayama is being auctioned in France

According to Japanese Mantan Web, Attack on Titan manga author Isayama Hajime auctioned his four desks at the 50th Angoulême International Comics Festival in France. All proceeds will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.

The official YouTube channel of the comic festival released a video in which Isayama introduced these tables. He said that his father was a furniture designer who made these tables specifically for him to help him concentrate. During the creation of "Attack on Titan", he and his assistants used these tables extensively for four years.

He goes on to explain that, thanks to advances in digital art, tables like these are no longer necessary for creating comics, but he still has an emotional attachment to them regardless. He hopes that they bring joy to people and express his wish for a more peaceful world.

Official Video:

The four tables measure 112 x 120 cm and weigh approximately 100 kg. Each table includes a hand-signed drawing by Isayama Hajime. The starting price is 500 euros, and the final auction price is expected to be between 2,000 and 4,000 euros.

French art auction house Drouot is in charge of the online auction. The deadline for bidding is February 11. The auction page supports multiple languages, including Chinese.
