Dexter: Resurrection first trailer reveals young version of Dexter

Showtime's hit series Dexter is back! The prequel series Dexter: Original Sin has released an official trailer, with Michael C. Hall returning to voice Dexter Morgan's iconic inner monologue. The series will air on Paramount+ on Friday, December 13.

Set in 1991 Miami, Dexter: Resurrection tells the story of young Dexter (Patrick Gibson)'s transformation from student to vengeful serial killer.

When he can no longer suppress his murderous urges, Dexter must learn to harness his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Golden Globe winner Christian Slater), he adopts a "code" that helps him target those who should be eliminated from society while avoiding the attention of law enforcement. This is especially challenging for young Dexter, who has just begun an internship in the forensic unit of the Miami Police Department.

"Dexter" creator Clyde Phillips returned to create the series, with Christian Slater, Jasmine Brown, Christina Milano and others also starring, with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Patrick Dempsey guest-starring, for a total of 10 episodes.
