John Wick director Chad Stahelski has been confirmed to direct the Tom Clancy Rainbow Six film, which will be the sequel to 2021's No Remorse. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael B. Jordan, the star of the previous film, will continue to play the protagonist, elite Navy SEAL John Kelly, and he will also serve as executive producer. Based on Tom Clancy’s 1993 bestseller, “Infernal Affairs” sees John Kelly on a quest for revenge to find the Russian killers who murdered his pregnant wife. The film was originally slated to be released theatrically by Paramount but has since been made available exclusively on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming platform. The second movie has little to do with the Rainbow Six game, and is still based on a novel. In this novel, the protagonist John Clark (changed to John Kelly in the movie version) will establish the "Rainbow" international anti-terrorist organization we know today. The plot and other actors of the movie adaptation have not yet been announced. Director Chad Stahelski also directed John Wick 4, which is set to be released in March this year. |
