As of the 26th of this month, Makoto Shinkai's latest animated film "The Journey of Bell and Sparrow" has surpassed the 10 billion yen mark at the box office, with 7.45 million viewers, becoming the third Shinkai work to exceed 10 billion yen at the box office after "Your Name" and "Weathering with You".

"Suzuya's Journey" was released in Japan on November 11, 2022. The film is set in ruins across Japan and tells the adventure story of the growth of Suzuya, a girl who closes the "door" that is the source of disasters.

According to a questionnaire survey conducted by Toho, the audience satisfaction with this film is as high as 94.5%. Not only that, the film directed by Makoto Shinkai will be released in 199 countries and regions around the world, setting a record in the history of Makoto Shinkai's works. Within three days of its release, compared with "Your Name", the number of audiences mobilized increased by 38.7%, and the box office revenue increased by 47.4%; compared with "Weathering with You", the number of audiences mobilized increased by 14.9%, and the box office revenue increased by 14.7%. It set a new record in the history of Makoto Shinkai's works.
