According to Deadline, as of this past Sunday, the global box office of James Cameron's "Avatar 2" is estimated to have reached 881 million US dollars, and about 253.7 million US dollars in North America.

"Avatar 2" has only been released for 10 days, and it has surpassed "Black Panther 2" and is temporarily the 5th highest-grossing movie in the world in 2022. It is expected that "Avatar 2" will get a global box office of 1 billion US dollars before the end of this year.

Last night, the box office of "Avatar 2" in mainland China exceeded 700 million yuan. Previously, professional media predicted that the box office of "Avatar 2" could reach up to 3.1 billion yuan. However, with the evolution of pre-sales and the epidemic situation, according to the box office prediction on December 16, the total box office in mainland China was only 1.82 billion. A week later, according to the box office prediction on December 23, the total box office prediction of "Avatar 2" in mainland China had fallen to 1.06 billion. On December 25, the total box office prediction in mainland China rose to 1.113 billion, an increase of nearly 50 million.
