New stills from The Last of Us: Joel and Ellie move forward carefully

Recently, new stills from HBO's "The Last of Us" were released, showing that Joel and Ellie were moving forward cautiously, fearing that they would disturb something.

Craig Mazen talks about what makes The Last of Us so successful: "They don't have anything shooting out of their eyes, they're just normal people, which is very rare in games. The fact that they make the game feel grounded and make it feel - I've never experienced anything like it."

With the right producers, star actors, and HBO's support, The Last of Us looks like a series that is faithful to the game, but has room to continue exploring and developing. Mazen said: "The game itself is wonderful to play, but if it is dramatized, it is not wonderful at all. Neil and I always ask, why do we only do content in the game, what can we do to expand it? The greatest story in the game may also become one of the greatest stories on television."

The series "The Last of Us" is adapted from the game of the same name by Naughty Dog Studio. It will be directed by Craig Mazan, producer of "Chernobyl", Caroline Strauss, producer of "Game of Thrones", and Neil, director of "The Last of Us 2". Starring Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and Gabriel Luna, the series tells the story of survivors Joel and Ellie traveling across the United States in a harsh living environment full of killers.

The Last of Us will premiere on HBO Max and Sky in the UK on January 15, 2023.
