Dune: Part II is one step closer to release. According to the latest post from lead actor Timothee Chalamet on Instagram, the film has officially wrapped. His post also shared a behind-the-scenes photo, marking the end of filming on the film. The production of the sequel began in early July this year. Since then, the release date of the film has been changed several times. However, the latest news claims that the date has been moved forward and it is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 3, 2023. The first Dune was released during the pandemic and simultaneously launched on the HBO Max streaming platform, but it still earned $400 million at the box office. The film also received 10 Oscar nominations and won 6 awards including Best Sound, Best Visual Effects and Best Cinematography Achievement. |
