Streaming platform Disney+ has confirmed that the new series "Star Wars: Core Team" will premiere on the platform in the United States on Monday, December 2. This is one day earlier than the original launch date, but the remaining episodes will be updated every Tuesday thereafter. The show stars Jude Law as a Jedi Knight, who embarks on a "unique Star Wars adventure". The show is more targeted at young audiences, similar to the story of Peter Pan, in which a Jedi Knight takes four children to explore the world of Star Wars. In addition to Jude Law, the cast also includes Kerry Condon, Nick Frost, Tunde Adebimpe and Jaleel White. Disney+ also revealed the show's director lineup. There are a total of 8 episodes in the first season, with an average of one director per episode, including series co-creator Jon Watts, "Peter Pan and Wendy" director David Lowery, Oscar winners, "Twister" director Kwan Ka-wing and Daniel Scheinert, "Twister" director Lee Issac Chung, "The Mandalorian" veteran Bryce Dallas Howard, and the upcoming Marvel movie "Thunderbolt" director Jake Schreier. |
