The domestic film market has been relatively sluggish recently, and cinemas in many places are also exploring "self-help" measures. On November 21, Chengdu Reina Cinema announced the launch of a lunch break package, which attracted attention.

It is reported that the cinema's lunch break opening hours are from 12:00 to 14:00 on weekdays from Monday to Friday. There are two types of lunch break service packages. Package A is 12.9 yuan per person and provides a steam eye mask; the other is package B, which includes black tea or milk tea hot drink and steam eye mask, and the price is 18.9 yuan. No movies are shown during the lunch break, it is purely for everyone to rest.

The person in charge of the cinema said in an interview with Beijing Youth Daily, "After all, cinemas are places where people want to go to watch movies, and their main business is still showing movies. At present, most of the lunch break packages are still the same as before, and there are indeed more people inquiring. People in the industry are also paying more attention. I didn't expect our cinema to break the circle in this way. But in fact, we are making a heartwarming attempt, which not only provides services to people in need, but also makes full use of the existing space and equipment of the cinema. From the package price, you can also see that it is basically the cost price, and it is not for the purpose of profit."

"Our cinema is located in a high-tech industrial zone, and there are many people working in restaurants and enterprises and institutions around it. In the past, many people came to buy a movie ticket during their lunch break, not to watch a movie, but to rest, because our cinema has fully wrapped leather seats, which are very comfortable, and blankets are provided. Currently, the film market has entered a period of confusion, and our team felt that this was a service project worth developing based on everyone's lunch break needs, so we launched this event."
