The screenwriter of the live-action American drama "Death Note" announced that he loves Japanese anime

Sina Film reported today that the screenwriter of the Hollywood live-action series "Death Note" has been confirmed to be Halia Abdel-Meguid (representative work "Miss Ainety"). She is said to love Japanese animation and comics, has lived in Tokyo and can speak fluent Japanese. Her screenwriting works also include Hulu's yet-to-be-released new series "Devil in the White City". It is reported that the series is a joint production of Netflix and the Duffer brothers, the creators of "Stranger Things".

Death Note is a Japanese suspenseful manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story tells about a genius high school student Light Yagami who obtains a Death Note that allows anyone to kill the person by knowing the person's name and appearance. He intends to use the notebook to kill criminals to create a new world where there are no criminals, only kind and hardworking people, and thus begins a battle of wits with the detective L and his successors who are trying to catch him.
