Mario movie title confirmed? Official title is no surprise

Co-produced by Nintendo and animation company Illumination, the animated film adapted from one of the most well-known game characters, Mario, will be released in 2023. Recently, the official name of the film may have been determined, and the name is the same as the first game in the last century, "Super Mario Bros.".

According to a Twitter user, the name of the Mario movie, "Super Mario Bros.", has been clearly written on the official website of Illumination in Paris. The film has been included in Illumination's list of Minions and other movies. Of course, we cannot rule out that this is just a placeholder, but if the game name is used directly, it will obviously be easier to promote, and SEGA's previous Sonic movie also directly used the game name.

It is also worth mentioning that the live-action Mario movie also uses the name "Super Mario Bros."

Nintendo has previously confirmed that in the Mario Movie, Chris Pratt plays Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy plays Princess Peach, Charlie Day plays Luigi, Jack Black plays Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key plays Toad, and Seth Rogen plays Donkey Kong.

The Mario movie is expected to be released in 2023.
