The box office of "Top Gun 2" is soaring, and its box office performance has once again greatly exceeded expectations. As of Monday, the cumulative North American box office of "Top Gun 2" exceeded $700 million, reaching $701.23 million, surpassing the $700 million of "Black Panther" and rising to the fifth place in the North American box office history list. Of course, if it wants to surpass the $760 million of "Avatar" and become the fourth place in the North American box office history list, it may still need to work hard.

According to Paramount, Top Gun 2 topped both Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, and is the first film in history to top both the box office and digital download charts. Paramount CEO and President Brian Robbins said: "There is no doubt that Top Gun 2 is a true cultural touchstone that embodies the power of film. As we celebrate this monumental achievement and the film's tremendous impact, we would like to thank Tom Cruise, the producers and actors, Paramount's marketing and distribution team, and the new and old fans who continue to come to enjoy this outstanding film!"

"Top Gun 2" has accumulated $740.4 million overseas, and its global cumulative box office has reached $1.44 billion. It is about to surpass "Frozen 2"'s $1.45 billion and rise to 11th place in the global film box office history list.
