"House of the Dragon," which premiered on HBO Max and HBO cable network TV this month, has received rave reviews. Although only one episode has been aired, the second season of the series has been confirmed. Today (August 27), HBO officially announced the news. In the announcement, HBO Executive Vice President of Programming Francesca Orsi praised the performance of "House of the Dragon" and expressed great confidence in the creative team behind the series' ability to tell a fascinating story. “Our amazing cast and crew took on a monumental challenge and exceeded all expectations, delivering a show that has established itself as must-see television,” said Orsi. ““Thank you so much to George (RR Martin), Ryan (Ryan Condal, House of the Dragon) and Miguel (Miguel Sapochnik, director) for taking us on this journey. We are so excited to continue bringing the epic saga of House Targaryen to life in Season 2.” |
