Netflix develops live-action series of Horizon Zero Dawn from the producer of The Umbrella Academy

According to Deadline, as The Umbrella Academy is about to enter its fourth and final season, series producer Steve Blackman has once again signed an eight-figure contract with Netflix. Under the multi-year contract, Blackman will write and produce new series and other projects for Netflix under his newly established "Irish Cowboy Productions" company.

Blackman is currently working on two science fiction series for Netflix: a live-action series based on Sony's PlayStation action-adventure game Horizon: Zero Dawn and an ISS series Orbital. The Horizon: Zero Dawn series will have the participation of Sony Pictures TV and PlayStation Productions.

"Horizon: Zero Dawn" was developed by Guerrilla Games, released in 2017, and then ported to the PC platform. As of November 28, 2021, the sales of this game exceeded 20 million copies.
