Louis Koo's sci-fi film "The Tomorrow War" will be released on August 5th, and the mecha battle is super cool

Today (July 21), China's first sci-fi mecha blockbuster "The Tomorrow War" announced that it will be advanced to August 5, and will be screened on August 4 for the Chinese Valentine's Day. Pre-sales are in full swing.

Special Video:

"The Tomorrow War" is directed by Wu Xuanhui, with Louis Koo as the executive producer, starring Louis Koo, Lau Ching-Wan, Carina Lau, Philip Keung, Tse Kwan-Ho, Wu Qian, Wan Guopeng, with Nick Cheung making a friendly guest appearance, and screenwriters Liu Haoliang and Mak Tin-Shu.

The special effects team is from The Wandering Earth, and the total investment in the film is said to be as high as HK$450 million (about RMB 380 million) over five years. It is the film with the largest production scale and the most computer special effects in Hong Kong. The filming of the film was completed very early, but due to the polishing of special effects and other details, including some deletions, it was delayed again and again, and the final release time was about an hour and a half.

The story of "Tomorrow's War" is set in 2055, when the earth is deeply troubled by pollution and global warming. A meteorite hits the earth, bringing a fast-growing tentacled alien creature that purifies the earth while killing all life. The task of saving the earth falls on an elite force. While fighting the alien creatures, they also discover a shocking conspiracy. Under the apocalyptic crisis of the future world, mecha warriors Tai Lai (played by Louis Koo) and Zheng Zhongsheng (played by Andy Lau) stand up to complete the difficult task and fight to the death to protect the earth.
