In 2017, the official first announced the new animated film "Mobile Police EZY" project. Although the pilot film was released at a public event in 2022, the project has been in the production stage. Recently, the official announced the good news that the "Mobile Police EZY" project has officially started. Not only did it announce the list of relevant production staff, it also announced that it is scheduled to be released in 2026. It is understood that "Mobile Police EZY" will be produced by GENCO, JCSTAFF will be responsible for animation production, Idebuchi Hiroshi will be the director, Ito Kazunori will be responsible for script writing and script coordination, and Kawai Kenji will be in charge of music composition. In addition, the 1989 theatrical version of "Patlabor" directed by Mamoru Oshii will also celebrate its 35th anniversary this year. In order to celebrate, it has been announced that a week-long revival screening event will be held in 105 theaters in Japan starting from September 20. |
