"Prisoner 760" is based on the true events in Mohamedou Ould Slahi's autobiographical memoir "Guantanamo Diary", telling the true story of Slahi (played by Tahar Rahim) who was imprisoned for many years without any charges or verdict by the US government and fought for freedom, which is an inspiring story. The film shockingly restores the process of human nature's struggle against darkness and reveals the unknown painful truth for the first time.

After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Slahi (Tahar Rahim) from Mauritania was suspected of being involved in the terrorist attacks and was imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay, where he became "Prisoner No. 760". He was accused without any evidence by the US government and imprisoned for 14 years. Finally, many years later, he got the help of defense lawyer Nancy Hollander (Jodie Foster). In the face of many obstacles, they put forward controversial defense claims in order to uphold justice, and gradually revealed the hidden evidence with military prosecutor Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Couch (Benedict Cumberbatch), and the jaw-dropping conspiracy finally surfaced.
