Depp's ex-wife: A lot of her scenes were cut in Aquaman 2

Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard said that she lost job opportunities after breaking up with Depp. After Depp's "smear campaign", her role as Mera in the movie "Aquaman 2" was also greatly reduced.

According to EW, the actress said she almost lost her role in the DCEU's Justice League during the third day of her and Depp's ongoing defamation trial.

"After I got the restraining order (against Depp), I had to fight really hard to maintain my career," Heard testified. "I fought to keep my job and my biggest movie opportunity to date, which was to be in Aquaman. I had to fight really hard to stay in Justice League because that was during a divorce."

Heard said her contract with DC and Warner Bros. was for three movies, which would eventually include Justice League, Aquaman, and Aquaman 2. Heard also described how her role in Aquaman 2 was scaled back.

"They gave me a script at first, and then they gave me a new script that took out the action scenes, the dialogue between me and another character, but there's no spoiler at all, the scene where the two characters fight each other, and basically they took out my scenes."

After the postponement, "Aquaman 2" will be released on March 17, 2023.
