The Flash Standalone Movie to Be Directed by IT Director

According to Variety, Warner is in talks with Andy Muschietti, the director of "IT", to let him know about DC's "The Flash" independent film. If an agreement is reached, Muschietti will also co-produce the film with his sister and partner Barbara Andy Muschietti and Michael Disco.

Given that the previous "Flash" actor Ezra Miller was at odds with the original directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein ("Spider-Man: Homecoming"), there has been no new progress on "The Flash" and even the need to replace "The Flash" actor Ezra Miller, who previously played "The Flash" in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", "Justice League" and "Suicide Squad".

At present, it is basically confirmed that the independent film of "The Flash" will be directed by Andy Muschietti ("IT"), and the screenwriter of "Bumblebee" Christina Hodson will write the script for the film. Ezra Miller will still be "The Flash".

Andy Muschietti has become another horror film director poached by Warner to make superhero films. Before him, there were three, James Wan (Aquaman), David Sandberg (Shazam!) and Jaume Collet-Serra (Black Adam), all of whom started out as horror film directors.
