The behind-the-scenes footage of the live-action drama "Yakuza" is revealed, and the Kamurocho scene is perfectly restored

SEGA recently released a behind-the-scenes video of the live-action TV series "Yakuza", revealing the behind-the-scenes story of how the crew recreated the iconic scene of the game - Kamurocho - in reality.

Behind the scenes of the live-action TV series "Yakuza":

The video shows the behind-the-scenes work of the crew in building the Kamurocho scene on a large scale in the suburbs of Tokyo. In order to restore the atmosphere in the game to the greatest extent, the crew has been meticulous about every detail, from street signs to building details, striving to reproduce them perfectly. Even the parts that cannot be filmed on location are supplemented by green screen shooting and post-production special effects (VFX) technology, and finally present a convincing Kamurocho scene. The crew even referred to photos and materials of Shinjuku between 1995 and 2005, striving to accurately show the transformation of Kamurocho in different time periods.

In the behind-the-scenes video, we can see how well the crew restored Kamurocho, from the vibrant streets to the various entertainment venues, all of which are highly consistent with the scenes in the game, striving to bring players into the familiar world of Yakuza. Whether it is the exciting and humanized plot, or the costumes and entertainment activities full of a sense of the times, they are all carefully presented.
