The new Catwoman complains about the American TV series "Big Little Lies": There are only white people around

According to foreign media Variety, the new Catwoman Zoë Kravitz talked about her role in the HBO series "Big Little Lies" while promoting the "Batman" movie.

Zoe said she didn't like Monterey, California, where Big Little Lies was mainly filmed, and that she felt uncomfortable being surrounded by white people. She said: "Because the surrounding environment is too white. The bar is full of weird racists and a lot of similar things."

"Big Little Lies" has been criticized by critics for its lack of diversity, and Zoe is one of the few actors of color in the show, but she has fewer roles than other white sisters. The character she plays, Bonnie, is also white in the original book. Zoe said: "The role of Bonnie was originally written for white people," so compared with other black roles she has received, this role seems very layered.

Zoe also praised Big Little Lies for not overemphasizing her race, but reporters said that not emphasizing her race made the character seem unreal.

"Big Little Lies" aired two seasons on HBO in 2017 and 2019. All the main actors have expressed interest in returning for the third season, but HBO has not yet announced plans for the third season.
