New Star Wars series revealed as space version of Stranger Things

Rumor has it that Spider-Man 3 director Jon Watts is in talks with Disney to direct at least one episode of Disney+'s new mysterious Star Wars series, which is scheduled to start filming this summer and is described as a "space version of Stranger Things."

The news comes from foreign media Discussing Film. According to reports, Watts has been invited to direct a new "Star Wars" series, the working name of which is "Grammar Rodeo".

Jon Favreau, the writer and executive producer of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, will also serve as an executive producer on the new Star Wars series. It is not yet clear who will serve as the writer.

Foreign media Cinelinx described this new "Star Wars" series as a "space version of "Stranger Things"," which is set in the High Republic era and focuses on younger heroes. It is worth mentioning that Disney+'s other "Star Wars" series "The Acolyte" will also be set in the High Republic era.

In addition to the Star Wars series, Watts will also direct Marvel's Fantastic Four reboot.
