Death on the Nile tops North American box office and ranks fourth in domestic box office

"Death on the Nile", a crime thriller adapted from Agatha's works directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Gal Gadot, Letitia Wright, Armie Hammer, Emma Mackey and others, grossed 37.06 million yuan in the first week (Saturday and Sunday) in mainland China.

Death on the Nile was released in North America on February 11. The latest estimate of the North American box office is 25 million US dollars, and the global box office is 75 million US dollars. The production cost has not been officially announced, but it is reported to be 90 million US dollars. In North America, Death on the Nile is the box office champion among theatrical films. It easily won the North American daily box office champion throne as soon as it was released.

However, Death on the Nile was introduced to mainland China for release, but its box office performance was average. On its first day of release, it ranked only fourth on the daily box office chart, losing to three Spring Festival movies: The Bridge at Lake Changjin, The Professional, and Miracle. Death on the Nile accounted for 12.9% of the screenings, 12% of the box office, and 8.5% of the attendance, which was not high.

"Death on the Nile" was released in mainland China on February 19 and in North America on February 11.
