According to the latest issue of "Voice Actor Guide 2022 Female Edition" which will be released on the 10th, the current number of registered Japanese female voice actors is 1,003, exceeding last year's 955, setting a record high in history.

According to historical records, there were only 225 registered female voice actors in 2001, and the number has gradually increased every year since then until last year's 955.

The latest number of male voice actors on the list also broke last year's record, reaching 607, more than four times the 145 20 years ago.
