Marvel producer says Black Panther 2 actor Shuri's injury is more serious than expected

Some time ago, it was reported that the filming of the movie "Black Panther 2" has been suspended and will not resume until early 2022 because the leading actress Letitia Wright was injured during filming. According to an email sent by Kevin Feige to all cast and crew members recently, Wright's injury is more serious than the initial assessment results.

Marvel Studios Kevin Feige, Louis de Esposito and Nate Moore recently sent a letter to the cast and crew, introducing the suspension of filming of "Black Panther 2" and stating that Wright's injury was "a serious fracture of the shoulder and a serious adverse reaction caused by a concussion."

According to reports, Wright was injured while completing a stunt for the movie. Marvel producers said that at first they thought the injury was minor, but later found it to be very serious. "This is a very painful process, and Letitia must recover at home with the care of doctors and the support of her family."

Wright and the team plan to resume filming of Black Panther 2 in January 2022. It is reported that Wright also sent a video message to the cast and crew to thank everyone for their support.

During the suspension, the film team continued to shoot some scenes without Wright's participation in Atlanta and Georgia, USA. However, since Wright's role as Shuri is very important in the sequel, filming is almost impossible without her participation.

The suspension of filming caused the release date of "Black Panther 2" to be postponed from July 8 to November 11.
