Rumor: Sony plans to make a live-action movie of "Gantz" with Julius Avery directing

Recently, the famous film and television media Deadline reported that Sony Pictures is focusing on the live-action film adaptation of the "Gantz" IP. Sources revealed that Australian director Julius Avery (representative works "Son of a Gun" and "Overlord") has been arranged by Sony Studios to direct the film.

It is reported that the script will be adapted by the famous screenwriter Marc Guggenheim based on the fantasy adult manga "GANTZ" serialized by Japanese cartoonist Hiroya Oh in 2000. The project is still in the early development stage and the specific release time is unknown.
