Hellraiser 2 producer confirms script is finished but expectations are too high to review

The thriller film "Hellblazer" starring Keanu Reeves was first released in February 2005. The film is adapted from the comic of the same name and tells the story of the protagonist Constantine, who has the ability to identify demons and angels, but is not accepted by heaven and hell. Therefore, he has lost faith in humans, demons and even angels and has been wandering in heaven, hell and the human world ever since.

Previously, director Francis Lawrence had expressed his desire to shoot an R-rated version of "Hellblazer 2", which was supported by the lead actor Keanu Reeves. Rachel Weisz and Tilda Swinton and other main actors of "Hellblazer" also said they would return for the sequel. However, the film was not officially confirmed by Warner until 2022.

Recently, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura revealed in an interview with foreign media "Comicbook" that the script of "Hellblazer 2" has been completed. He said: "You know it's in my inbox now. But the interesting thing is that I'm too scared to read it. I really hope it's a good work. I may read it in the next few days when I get on the plane."

Given that Hellraiser 2 is still in the script stage, it's unclear whether it will be one of the many projects launched under James Gunn's "New DC Universe."
