'South Park' creator signs new deal with ViacomCBS to produce 14 spin-off films

Bloomberg recently reported that "South Park" writers Matt Stone and Trey Parker signed a new contract worth $900 million with ViacomCBS. The funds will be used to produce new "South Park" episodes and a series of spin-offs.

It is reported that the derivative works include 14 Paramount + streaming media, and the first major movie is expected to be released before the end of this year. It is reported that the new cooperation agreement signed this time will last until 2027. In addition to the above-mentioned movies, it will also include the latest 6 seasons of "South Park".

According to people familiar with the terms of the deal, earlier this year, authors Stone and Parker received a $600 million loan from HPS Investment Partners for their nearly $1 billion series, which was used in part to produce a South Park spin-off movie and in part to invest in a range of other creative projects, including a new 3D game based on the South Park universe.
