Rumor: Bandai's new gashapon hints at a sequel to Digimon 2020

"Digimon 2020", which commemorates the 20th anniversary of Digimon, may usher in the second series. In fact, the news was first released last year. A Twitter user named Digimon Tweets tweeted that according to Toei's animation release list, "Digimon 2020" has begun production on a sequel. The series will contain 66 episodes of animation, with an average of 23 minutes per episode.

Yesterday (July 4), a Twitter account named Wikimon released a pre-order message for a "Digimon Sequel" themed capsule toy product produced by Bandai. The product will be available in October and includes a set of 40 capsules (300 yen each), which will include 6 varieties for players to collect. This product is likely to be a derivative peripheral of the sequel, and the six capsule toy models may be the Digimon that appear in the sequel.
