"Duel Masters The Movie: God Emperor of the Black Moon" - A new challenge for a passionate duelist

The second movie in the Duel Masters series, Duel Masters: God Emperor of the Black Moon, was released on September 19, 2009. It tells a grand story based on the original card game. The film depicts the growth of duelists and the bonds of friendship through new adventures and battles centered around Shobu Kirifuda.

story

Katsumi Kirifuda is a fiery duelist who has won numerous tournaments alongside Borshack NEX. A girl named Luna Kanzuki appears before him and challenges him to a Duel Masters match. Her duels are spectacular, with materialized creatures flying around, and Katsumi is so impressed by her strength that he invites her to his home. The moment Katsumi gets his hands on the "Drag Moon," a light envelopes the two of them, and countless super beasts appear. The Black Moon card has the power to bring back to life the scenery seen by Duel Masters of ancient times.

Meanwhile, in the mountain region, Luna's brother Mikado has begun his action with three "Black Moons" in his hands. When all five "Black Moons" are gathered, the legendary "God of Destruction" will be resurrected. Using that power, Mikado plans to destroy the world. Mikado steals the "Thunder Moon" and attacks Katsumi, who has the "Drag Moon". That was Luna's purpose in approaching Katsumi, but Katsumi is shocked by Mikado's words, loses sight of himself, and is defeated.

However, surrounded by the love of his friends, Katsumi decides to stand up again. Mikado and Luna's secret is revealed, and Katsumi fights to defeat the "God of Destruction." The most deadly battle in D.M. history is about to begin.

character

Katsumi Kirifuda - The main character, played by Yumiko Kobayashi. A passionate duelist who never gives up, he inherits his love for Duel Masters from his father, Katsumi, and is unmatched by anyone else. His growth and the bonds of friendship are at the heart of this work.

Mikado Kamitsuki - Takahiro Sakurai plays a super genius duelist born into the tragic "Galle" tribe. Despite being at the mercy of fate, he has carved out his own path with his own abilities. His ambition and confrontation with Katsumi are the main axis of the story.

Luna Kamitsuki - Mikado's younger sister, played by Aya Hirano. Although she is deceived by evil and goes astray, she is originally a pure-hearted person. Her presence shakes Katsumi's heart and gives him a new resolve.

Main Robot Items

Borshack NEX - The leader of F.B. who supports Katsumi. He always believes in Katsumi and does his best, but when that trust wavers, NEX cries.

4 Gods - If you link 4 Gods together, you will have a power of 20,000 (or more depending on the number of Gods in the graveyard), and each time you hit an enemy, you will take 8,000 damage. You can attack and block as many times as you like.

Black Dragon Lunarsberg - When destroyed, you can put up to 2 Dark Beasts with a cost of 7 or less from your hand into play. A weepy zombie with the spirit of "one for all."

Evaluation and Impressions

"Duel Masters: God Emperor of the Black Moon" is a must-see for fans of the series. The story of Katsumi's growth and friendship is moving, and the showdown with Mikado is full of tension. In particular, the scenes where the creatures materialize are visually very impactful and have the power to draw the audience in.

The depth of the characters is also worth evaluating. Katsumi's hot-bloodedness, Mikado's tragic nature, and Luna's purity are all vividly portrayed in each scene. In particular, Mikado's background and Luna's conflict add depth to the story and make the audience think.

In addition, the designs of the main robots and items are also superb, especially the visuals of Borshack NEX and the four gods. The scenes where these creatures fight bring out the worldview of Duel Masters to the fullest.
