John Woo to film Red Cliff web series with Tony Leung Chiu-wai and other original cast members

According to Taiwanese media reports, John Woo has contacted the mainland film and television company Renren Entertainment, intending to make his film "Red Cliff" into a web drama, and hopes to invite the original cast including Tony Leung, Lin Chi-ling, Takeshi Kaneshiro, and Chang Chen to star in it.

"Red Cliff" is divided into two parts, which were released in mainland China in 2008 and 2009 respectively, with box office revenues of 321 million and 260 million respectively. Tony Leung, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Zhang Fengyi, Chang Chen, and Lin Chiling played Zhou Yu, Zhuge Liang, Cao Cao, Sun Quan, and Xiao Qiao respectively.
