The 93rd Academy Awards ceremony will be held on April 25 this year. The complete list of Oscar nominations was announced recently. "Mulan" starring Liu Yifei received double nominations for Best Costume Design and Best Visual Effects.

"Mulan" is adapted from Disney's 1998 animated film of the same name. It tells the story of Hua Mulan disguising herself as a man, joining the army in her father's place, and bravely fighting the Rouran people, conveying the values ​​of loyalty, courage, truth, and filial piety. The film is directed by Niki Caro, starring Liu Yifei and Donnie Yen, with special appearances by Gong Li and Jet Li, and starring Li Jie and An Youxin. It will be released in mainland China on September 11, 2020.
